Claire Wicke P.6 Intro to Media Synthesis and Reflection: Media Law: A new concept I learned about with media law is Libel and Slander is the publication of a false statement that injures someones reputation. An example of slander would be a certain person cheated on their taxes, or committed tax fraud, but the real definition is making false or damaging statements about someone. Libel is a written defamation of a character, and an example of this would be writing a false malicious statement on a sign or publication, damaging a person. This new concept taught me to always give the 100% truth when writing, because sending out a false message about someone, could drag me into bigger problems that lead into more and more lies.
